Polygon is one of the biggest bike makers you've never heard of, and they sell direct through Bikes Online, which keeps the price down. The Siskiu TE gets you a Bosch CX motor, a RockShox Lyrik fork and a mullet setup for less than most shop brands charge.

The motor is the previous-generation CX at 85 Nm, so it's not as strong as the Gen 5 bikes. It's still smooth and proven, and every Bosch shop can work on it. The 625 Wh battery is the smallest in this group, so long days take some planning.

At about 24 kg it's one of the lighter budget bikes too, which makes it more fun on twisty trail than the spec sheet suggests.

What I like
  • Bosch motor any shop can service
  • Quality RockShox suspension
  • Lighter than most budget bikes
What I don't
  • Older 85 Nm Bosch motor
  • Smaller 625 Wh battery
  • Mail-order only

Long-term test pending. Polygon, if you'd like this one ridden and reviewed in full, let's talk.
